ATLANTA — Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger has a warning about some text messages that have been going out.
The text messages have been trying to confuse voters, saying things including your polling place has changed.
Raffensperger said he recommends voters to visit the my voter page on the SEC of state’s website to double check their correct polling location.
“A few voters have reported misleading text messages circulating today,” he said. “As a reminder, be vigilant.”
Voting was delayed by seven minutes due to a school safety drill at Rockbridge Elementary School in Norcross.
Officials say they’re looking to extend voting at that location for seven minutes on Tuesday evening to make up for it.
At last check, Raffensperger said the average wait time to vote is about five mins.
