COBB COUNTY, GA — Cobb County residents have a chance to weigh in on a couple of controversial code amendments during a public hearing by the county commission.

One includes more restrictions around homeless encampments, including new limitations on where people can sleep or build fires.

Another amendment would establish a new monthly storm-water fee of $4.75 for residential users in unincorporated Cobb County and Mableton.

The county says it’s needed to fix and maintain storm-water infrastructure.

Final votes on both measures are expected later this month.
