Fire destroys Hiram police officer’s home on Thanksgiving

HIRAM, GA — A Hiram police officer’s home was destroyed in a Thanksgiving Day fire, according to Paulding County Fire and Rescue.

Crews responded to the home on Baywood Crossings, where they found the residence engulfed in flames. No injuries were reported, but the home is considered a total loss.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Meanwhile, the Paulding Public Safety Appreciation Foundation has launched a fundraiser to support the officer and their family.
