On average, October is the driest month of the year for Metro Atlanta, and it certainly will remain dry through the end of this month.
Even as various cold fronts move through, these fronts are usually moisture starved by the time they arrive to the state of Georgia.
Instead, October rainfall is usually the result of landfalling tropical storms or hurricanes that roll through the Gulf on their way to the Southeast U.S.
Earlier this month, rain showers from the remnants of Hurricane Isaias brought 2 to 4 inches of rainfall to the Metro Atlanta area.

Since then, rain chances have vaporized for the entire state of Georgia.
Without any other pending tropical landfalls, little to no rain is to be expected for the area for the remainder of October.
