ATLANTA, Ga. — A man was hospitalized after being stabbed on Thursday afternoon in Atlanta.

Officers responded to a report of a person stabbed just before 1:20 p.m. near the 2000 block of Piedmont Road.

Upon arrival, officers found a 40-year-old man with a stab wound to his neck. He was rushed to the hospital.

The identity of the victim and current extent of his injury is unknown.

Police are investigating what led up to the stabbing.
