ATLANTA — A shooting has left a man critically injured near the downtown area of Atlanta on Friday evening.

Officers responded to the 300 block of Peachtree Street NW after reports of a person shot around 7 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found a man with gunshot wounds to his head and abdomen.

He was rushed to the hospital. The current extent of the man’s injuries and identity is unknown.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
