Man set to be executed in connection to 2003 murder of 2 metro Atlanta real estate agents

Execution date set for real estate agents' convicted killer Stacey Humphreys shot and killed Cynthia "Cyndi" Williams and Lori Brown at a model home in Powder Springs in 2003.

COBB COUNTY, GA — The Georgia Department of Corrections has scheduled an execution date for a man convicted of killing two Cobb County real estate agents more than two decades ago.

Stacey Humphreys was found guilty in the murders of 33-year-old Cyndi Williams and 21-year-old Lori Brown. The two were working inside a model home’s sales office in a new Powder Springs subdivision in November 2003 when Humphreys entered.

Investigators say he forced the women to remove their clothes and provide their bank PINs before shooting and killing them. He then took their driver’s licenses and bank and credit cards. At the time, Humphreys was on parole for a felony theft conviction.

Humphreys’ execution is set for December 19th. It would mark the first execution carried out in Georgia this year.
