ATLANTA — A woman has been hospitalized after being shot while sleeping inside her home in northwest Atlanta, according to police.

Investigators say the victim was struck in the legs by gunfire that came from outside the house on Gun Club Road. She was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police believe the shooting may have stemmed from a dispute between neighbors, though the investigation is still ongoing. No arrests have been announced.
