Delta flight makes emergency landing at LAX after engine fire

LOS ANGELES, CA — A Delta Air Lines flight en route from Los Angeles to Atlanta was forced to make an emergency landing shortly after takeoff after one of its engines caught fire.

The Boeing 767 departed Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) when flames were seen coming from one of the engines. The flight returned safely to LAX, and no injuries were reported among passengers or crew.

The Federal Aviation Administration has launched an investigation into the incident.
