WOODSTOCK, GA — The Woodstock City Council has approved $530,000 to fund 12 new firefighter positions in the city.
“For the funding of 12 new firefighter positions to staff these new fire stations,” said Deputy Chief Jimmy Eley.
Eley says the funding will help staff new fire stations after the city missed out on a FEMA SAFER Grant.
The money will cover salaries, benefits, uniforms, and other costs for the new firefighters through June 2026.
