Cobb County Sheriff’s Office adds new tracking dog‘ Liberty’ to K-9 team

COBB COUNTY, GA — The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office has a new addition to its team.

Officials say an 11-month-old Bloodhound named ‘Liberty’ has joined the K-9 unit of the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Craig Owens says Liberty has advanced tracking skills to assist in locating missing persons, including children and the elderly.

Officials add Liberty has partnered with Deputy Barry Bales, a 17-year veteran with the sheriff’s office. He has served as a K-9 handler for the past three years.
