Mayor Dickens re-elected, upset in PSC races that could affect Georgia Power bills

ATLANTA — There was a steady turn out in Georgia with more than half a million voters casting their ballots on Election Day.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Democrats Alicia Johnson and Peter Hubbard have won two seats on the Georgia Public Service Commission, defeating two Republican incumbents.

This upset could affect Georgia Power bills as the Georgia Public Service Commission sets Georgia Power’s electricity rates.

According to the Secretary of State’s website, it appears all of the incumbents on the Atlanta City Council have been re-elected.
