Judicial emergency declared in Clayton County due to power outage

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — A judicial emergency has been declared in Clayton County after a power outage on Monday morning.

Officials say a power outage interrupted the normal function of the judicial system at the Clayton County courthouse.

The power outage is also impacting the ability of the courts to meet schedules and deadlines.

The courthouse is currently closed and expected to re-open Monday afternoon.
