CANTON, GA — A 61-year-old Canton man who was previously reported missing has been found dead near Red Top Mountain.

Canton police say they were notified Friday by Bartow County authorities after a body was discovered and needed to be identified. The victim was confirmed to be James Powell.

Investigators say no foul play is suspected. The Bartow County Coroner’s Office and the GBI are now working to determine Powell’s cause of death.
