DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Residents and businesses may have noticed that police patrols in parts of DeKalb County have been increasing recently.

DeKalb County police officials say the Tucker-Northlake Community Improvement District has allocated $100,000 to pay for off-duty officers to patrol the area.

Officials say having a strong presence will help deter criminal activity.
