DUNWOODY, Ga. — Around 1:50PM on Friday, June 6, DeKalb County Watershed Department said that repairs on a 6″ water main at 5800 Harris Circle in Dunwoody had been completed.

Chamblee Dunwoody Road was shut down for hours after the water main break in the area, impacting the busy Friday commute.

Homeowner Bill Reace said not having water disrupted his morning routine. He told WSB Radio’s Austin Eller that this is a common occurrence in his neighborhood.

“I have lived here for 40 years, just a little over 40 years we moved in, and this has been a problem for the last 15 or 20,” he said.

Reace says his neighborhood experiences a main break at least once a year.

Less than 75 customers were impacted, officials confirm.

WSB Radio’s Austin Eller contributed to this story.
