MADRID, SPAIN — A new study finds the shingles vaccine could protect you from a lot more than just shingles.
Researchers say adults as young as 18 who’ve had the shingles vaccine are up to 20% less likely to suffer a heart attack or stroke.
Current guidance recommends the vaccine mainly for older adults or those who are immunocompromised.
The findings are being presented at ESC Congress 2025, the world’s largest cardiology conference taking place in Madrid this weekend.
