Phenix Cowart Phenix was diagnosed with Acute Myleoid Leukemia in December of 2020 and after a few rounds of chemotherapy, underwent a bone marrow transplant. Phenix must live close to the hospital for the time being due to her being high-risk, until she is cleared to move back home to Warner Robbins.
Easton Bryant Easton was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at six years old. Easton is considered to be in the "high risk" category for treatment because he has T-Cell (ALL) which is considered to be more rare than B-Cell.
Mikari Tarpley Mikari was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma during the COVID-19 pandemic. Weeks of chemotherapy brought on some difficult side effects, but Mikari has never lost her upbeat spirit. Mikari is now cancer-free although she has regular scans to watch for recurrance. For Mikari's 16th birthday she decided to raise fund and awareness for Sickle Cell Anemia in lieu of gifts. Mikari loves acting and has even appeared on Broadway.
Sawyer Guillory Since he was a toddler, Sawyer has been cared for by the staff at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center for Sickle Cell Disease (SS). Sawyer received a live-saving bone marrow transplant from his twin brother, Saxton, and no longer suffers from pain crisis. Sawyer loves to play video games and hangout with his brother.
Mary Webb In September of 2020, Mary was at Scottish Rite, and they found two tumors. Mary loves music, and she plays four different instruments. She is a member of her praise band at Athens First United Methodist Church.
Autumn Dalton Autumn was diagnosed with Leukemia in September of 2019 after she had been complaining of pain throughout the night. With numerous ups and downs, Autumn’s treatment has gone very well overall and is scheduled to end in late September.
Ryan Alarcon As a toddler, Ryan was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), but his journey began at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center when he relapsed on Christmas Eve in 2016 at the age of 9. Ryan relapsed again at age 13, and has now gone through two bone marrow transplants. Ryan is about to enter high school in the fall.
Hudson Carpenter In March of 2020, Hudson was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). He began his treatment the following day. Hudson dreams of becoming a fire fighter one day.
Jax Bastow At two years old, Jax was diagnosed with a stage three Neuroblastoma behind his liver. Jackson just celebrated his third birthday on June 14th.
Odell Davis Jr. Odell was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease at 19 months old. Odell has been restricted from participating in certain activities he would enjoy doing due to the Sickle Cell Disease. He suffered a minor brain stroke at the age of seven. He lost his right hip due to loss of blood flow. He is going to need a hip replacement in the near future. Odell enjoys taking beach trips, and playing video games.
Raegan Pugh Reagan's journey began at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center in the fall of 2010, when she was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease. On October 22nd, 2020, Reagan and her older sister Kennedi became the 100th matched sibling donor transplant pair at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, when Reagan received her bone marrow transplant.
Asher Rock Asher was diagnosed with Grade D Unilateral Retinoblastoma in August of 2014. He relapsed several times which led Asher to receiving three rounds of extensive intra-arterial chemo surgery. Asher has endured six rounds of chemo and has had 54 eye exams under anesthesia. Asher is now seven years old, and loves to do karate and play baseball.
Nathan Moon In September of 2020, Nathan was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma, as he was entering the sixth grade. Nathan has had five rounds of chemo to date. Prior to his diagnosis, Nathan loved playing soccer and is a big Atlanta United fan.
Jaxx Reasoner In August of 2016, Jaxx was diagnosed with Leukemia. Since then, he has relapsed twice, but he received his Bone Marrow Transplant in December of 2020 and has been doing great. He celebrated being out of the hospital with a Braves game for his birthday!
Dontavious Newell When Dontavious was one year old, he was admitted to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston Hospital due to health issues. A few days later, he was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease. At 13 years old, Dontavious is advocating for Sickle Cell Disease, wanting to increase awareness about the condition in his community and beyond.
Faith Johnson Faith was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) in November of 2020, after a two month struggle of trying to find out what was going on. She was the featured "hero" for her high school's fundraiser that raised over $36,000.
Jacob Bannister For a few days, Jacob significantly struggled with nausea, and serious stomach pain. His family assumed it might be a stomach bug. It ended up being B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Continuing to stay positive, Jacob loves watching his hometown team, the Atlanta Braves while going through treatment.
Madison Banks Madison was diagnosed with a brain tumor in November of 2020. She completed her treatment plan at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Scottish Rite Hospital on May 6th following six chemo treatments and six weeks of proton radiation.
Dakota Southerland In February of 2019, Dakota was diagnosed with a tumor on her brain after she was struggling with her vision. Dakota recently celerated her 11th birthday, and one year of being off treatment.
Raegan Mize In May of 2019, Raegan was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG) which is an aggressive, inoperable and terminal form of brain cancer. She loved swimming, coloring, going on walks, and all things Disney. Raegan gained her angel wings 18 months later, in November of 2020, but her parents are committed to creating awareness for pediatric cancer in her honor.
