A cold front is pushing through the Southeast today, and the first round of storms arrived during this morning’s commute.

As much as 0.25 inches to 0.75 inches of rain has already fallen throughout the Metro region between 7am and 11am today.

Scattered showers continue through the afternoon, but a second round of storms will arrive late in the afternoon through the evening, with the majority of the storms sweeping through as late as 9pm.

Heavy rain and gusty winds will be the main impacts from these storms, though stronger winds (58+ mph) are possible, as well as isolated large hail.
